TOP 25 maps (maps where the code ends in "T") are for places of intéresse aux touristes. They are real walkers maps with a wide variety of useful information on paths and tracks such as, long distance GR (Grande Randonnée) routes, interesting unsignposted ways along footpaths, cross-country or high mountain skiing routes, hard parts of a hiking trail, restricted zones, huts and mountain refuges.
Terrain information is clearly depicted such as lakes, swamps, marsh, tree-lined streams, cascades, dams, navigable canals, different sorts of woodland, brush and unusual features such as mines and caves.
Other useful information for the visitor includes campsites, riding centres, climbing and hang-gliding sites, recreation areas, golf and tennis facilities, canoe and kayaking locations. Also shown are National Park boundaries, cities and towns of particular interest, notable monuments and maybe most importantly TIC (tourist information centres).
