While boat anglers can focus on the many oyster reefs and wells in the bays deeper waters. Bay fishing is outstanding around the Mustang Island area, where limits of reds, trout and flounder are common. If staying on dry land is better, there are lighted fishing piers available that offer many varieties of fish. Both South Bay and Redfish Bay are known for their large areas of shallow, grass flats ideal for drift fishing and wading, while sheltered Copano Bay is known for its wealth of oyster reefs
