Middle Teton is situated in Grand Teton National Park among a group of rugged mountains known for their spectacular silhouette, a silhouette shaped nine million years ago by powerful geological forces. The Teton Ridge is comprised of more than 20 peaks over 10,000 feet. Middle Teton is the third highest, after "The Grand" and Mount Owens.
