The Map: Global Climatic Zones

August, for us, means going back to school! In addition to creating every map you could ever dream of, we also run the education platform Maps101. Maps101 is a multidisciplinary, online resource that creates an engaging learning environment for K-12 classrooms—our platform includes weekly articles with critical-thinking questions, interactive field trips, lesson plans, classroom activities, thousands of maps, and over 500 videos from National Geographic. You can sign up for a free trial on the website.  

This month’s free map is from Maps101. It shows climatic zones of the world on a Winkel Tripel Projection, and is ideal for teaching world history, geography, and earth science to students of any age.
